Sequence 02, Memory 07: On the Attack

Before you do anything else look at the radar and you will see a Bank marker nearby -- this is actually a closed Bank!  Head to it and spend the 900 coins to re-open it, which will have the effect of increasing your Bank cap to 7500.  Around the corner from the Bank is a Doctor Shop marker that you can also re-open -- not too far away in this same area of town is a closed Blacksmith to re-open.

If you have picked up any notoriety you can find a Herald on the map and pay them 100 coins to remove that if you like, though it may take more than one to completely remove the notoriety.  Either way though, after you have unlocked the Blacksmith you should head to the harbor and go out on the docks to speak with the man at the marker to start this memory -- which will result in opening the North District of the Imperial City...

As the memory starts you are helping Yusuf in a battle -- and then he explains that he was unable to prevent the fall of the Den here, and then he explains about what the Templar does when they take over a district.

Walk with Yusuf to the point where you trigger a CS -- and Yusuf introduces you to bombs, distracting the Templar guarding the gate ahead -- after which you continue to follow Yusuf walking through the district until you get another CS and it is your turn to set off a Cherry Bomb.

All that you need to do is use RB to select the Cherry Bombs and then hold down Y to aim -- place the targeting marker on the illuminated circle and release to throw it and distract the Templar guarding the gate, and then follow Yusuf as he runs through, over the rooftops, and triggers another CS.

In this CS he explains that the Templar have taken the Den below, and what he needs you to do is find and kill the Captain and then light the tower fire signal to show the Templar the error of their ways.  That is simple enough, and if you played the previous games it should be a familiar mission.


Taking out the Templar Captain

It may feel natural to want to take out the Templar you encounter in the area, you should resist that urge.  To complete the memory and gain 100% Synchronization you just need to do what Yusuf asked you to do -- take out the Captain and light the fire.  You are OK to take out the Templar on the roofs that are actually guarding the Den -- the one ahead you can do a zipline kill on -- but the Templar in the streets can cause you to fail the Synchronization.

Use Eagle Vision and focus on the group in the courtyard below for a few seconds to ID the Captain, then head to the rooftop on the left and assassinate the Templar Rifleman there.  You can do this a few different ways, but to be honest the easiest is to simply target the Captain for a ranged attack and hit him with a Poison Dart.  He dies and you are prompted to light the signal fire.

Getting to the tower means taking out the three Templar on the ground below -- simply use a Poison Dart on each and voila!  Easy access to the tower and, after you light the fire you get 100% Synchronization and unlock the Achievement "Istanbul and Constantinople" (20 GS) for completing DNA Sequence 2.

In addition to completing the memory lighting the fire also gains you your 5th Vantage Point scan.
